What do we do?

Misson.

Our goal is to encourage sustainable cycling on Ilkley Moor. As cycling grows worldwide and the way we ride mountain bikes shifts to become more inclusive of more terrain and types of trail, we feel we need to give 'our bit' back not only for cyclists, but for all users of the trails that we enjoy riding our bikes on.

We are not a local cycling club nor are we a charity. We are just a group of riders and friends who've ridden these moors collectively for the last 20 years. Ilkley moor has been a proving ground for some of the world's best in cycling, it's been the escape we're all lucky enough to have on our doorstep and it's been a place that's brought us all plenty of good times on our bikes over the years. We'd like to keep it that way.

Our Work.

Sustaining and maintaining the trails on Ilkley for all users is important to us. All the work we carry out is under agreement and in partnership with Bradford Council, supported by the Friends of Ilkley Moor and includes:

  • Trail maintenance to help minimise and reduce erosion from bikes and other users.

  • Bracken control in areas where bracken affects trail access and safety.

  • Trail diversion and safety improvement work.

  • Education of the right approach to cycling on Ilkley Moor.
